About Holy Trinity

Holy Trinity Episcopal Day School is a pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten program with a strong reputation in the Auburn-Opelika area for nurturing students in mind, body, and spirit. The Day School provides students with the opportunity to learn in a warm and loving environment and to receive excellent academic preparation for their next steps in school. Ideal Candidate

Key Responsibilities

Admissions & Enrollment

*      respond in prompt and friendly manner to admissions inquiries

*      maintain enrollment numbers for each school year

*      maintain waitlists for future school years

*      communicate with community schools to ensure proper transitioning for students


Communications

*      keep parent handbook, website, and social media platforms current and informative

*      weekly emails to parents with calendar events and information


Curriculum & Instruction

*      provide adequate inventory of educational materials, teaching & student supplies

*      find and implement curricula that are strong, up-to-date, and developmentally appropriate

*      collaborate with teachers on programs, classroom schedules, and individual student needs

*      lead and provide teaching during weekly chapel services

*      substitute in classroom, maintain substitute list, ensure payments to substitutes


Financial Administration

*      prepare annual budget

*      manage billing software

*      record all transactions

*      make cash and check deposits as needed


Organizational Administration

*      attend weekly staff meetings and work closely with rector of Holy Trinity

*      ensure facilities are maintained

*      foster relationships among students, families, teachers, and church staff

*      maintain school calendar

*      schedule weekly chapel services, special events, and after school activities

*      seek, interview, and hire new teachers

*      observe current teachers and provide end-of-year evaluations

*      update the Day School Board at quarterly meetings and as needed

*      ensure licensing, insurance, and safety precautions are sufficient and current


Position Details 

  • Reports to the Rector

  • Part-time: 30 hours per week, 5 days per week during academic year, flexible hours during summer and school holidays

  • Salary Range: $25,000-$30,000

  • Background check required


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) Master’s degree (preferred) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development

  • 5 years early childhood education experience

  • Strong professional references

  • Leadership ability
